What does it mean to be a believer in Christ?

Believing in Christ means trusting Jesus as your Savior
- We all have sinned and need forgiveness (Romans 3:23).
- Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for our sins (Romans 5:8).
- By believing in Him, we receive the free gift of eternal life (John 3:16).
This isn’t just belief in your head — it’s trust in your heart that Jesus is who He says He is and has done what He said He would do.

It means receiving new life through the Holy Spirit
- When you believe, God places His Spirit in you (Ephesians 1:13).
- The Holy Spirit gives you power to live differently — to grow in love, joy, peace, and purpose.
- You now have a personal relationship with God — not just religion.

It means surrendering your life to follow Him
- When you believe, you turn from your old way of living and follow Jesus as Lord (Luke 9:23).
- He becomes the center of your life — your guide, your strength, your hope.
- This doesn’t mean you’ll be perfect, but it does mean your heart belongs to Him.

It means becoming part of God’s family
- When you believe in Jesus, you are adopted as a child of God (John 1:12).
- You belong to a family of believers all over the world — the body of Christ.
- You are never alone; God walks with you every step of the way.
- “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession…” — 1 Peter 2:9

What To Expect
A typical Sunday service will last about 70 minutes. We sing a good mix of Christ-centered contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team. There is childcare available, Bible teaching, and activities for all age groups. Plan to hang around after the service for some good food, and a time of fellowship meeting new people.
