When he returned to the states, he eventually became an assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel Vista in California. In 1994, he was told about a ministry opportunity in Newport News, VA and after much prayer, Tony knew this is where he was called to plant a church. Calvary Chapel Newport News became establish in October, 1994.

He served as a youth pastor, worship leader, and church planter at Rocky Mountain Calvary in Colorado Springs.
